Online event platform Fanzone has been chosen by UEFA to provide all online transportation services and solutions for the millions of fans travelling to Euro 2016 France this summer.
Fanzone enables fans to plan their journeys to Euro 2016 with collaborative door-to-door transport solutions. Fanzone offers services such as shared rides, shared taxis, public transportation, navigation to the Park & Ride service and more, connecting between fans and facilitating the overall service.
Fanzone turns the journey from a hassle to an experience – by sharing a ride with fellow supporters, fans not only save money but also meet like-minded fans who share their passion, creating a ride which is part of the fun. Fans can also find which of their friends are attending the matches and where they coming from, making it easier to socialize before and during the event.
Fanzone doesn’t only improve the overall fan experience but also encourages fans to look at how their travel is impacting the environment. By using the calculator on the UEFA Euro 2016 app, fans can estimate their eco-footprint and how much they are contributing in carbon emissions. By offering transport sharing services to fans, Fanzone is reducing the environmental impact of large-scale events.
Mr. Guy-Lauren Epstein, Director of Marketing at UEFA, said: “We are very happy to have Fanzone as our online transport and traveling community solution, and I’m sure it will help the millions of traveling fans, to get around in an easier and friendly manner.”
